covid:aid releases survey on Long Covid and Universal Credit for report to MPs

covid:aid is presenting to MPs in September about Long Covid and Universal Credit. We are keen to gather together as many experiences as possible – including around the £20 uplift – so we can share findings and raise awareness.

Michael MacLennan, founder and Chief Executive at covid:aid, said: “In September we will be presenting to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Universal Credit, and are keen to share the experiences of those with Long Covid – whether positive or negative.

“With the credit uplift of £20 set to be withdrawn at the end of September, we also want to find out how this may affect those who have experienced long-term effects as a result of the coronavirus.”

covid:aid is the UK’s new national charity dedicated to supporting all those significantly affected by Covid-19, building a community and providing a voice. Launched at the end of May 2021, we have been providing support including producing a National Lottery-funded toolkit to help charities and other organisations produce and deliver services for those living with Long Covid.
