How to support Covid Aid this Christmas
Christmas is a time for giving and many people across the UK look to support a charity close to their heart at this time of year.
Covid-19 continues to impact us all and your support enables us to continue to provide support to over 2 million people in the UK living with Long Covid, as well as those struggling with grief, bereavement and financial issues as a result of the virus. If you feel this is something you have been affected by then you can support us in a variety of ways.
Don’t Send Me A Card
Don’t Send Me A Card is a fantastic initiative that helps charities and the environment, by turning the cost of Christmas cards into donations for charities that rely on giving.
You can send your Christmas cards from just £2 which will help support our charity.

Online shopping is becoming increasingly popular and now you can support Covid Aid when buying your Christmas gifts!
You can select us as your nominated charity on Amazon Smile which means we’ll get 0.5% at no cost to you, every time you make an eligible purchase. These donations really do go a long way in helping us provide invaluable support to people in the UK significantly affected by Covid-19.
If you use Paypal, Ebay and #easyfundraising you can support us there also! Find out more here.
Donate
Our support is more desperately needed than ever – help us to help the UK and donate to Covid Aid this Christmas.
Even a small donation can make a big difference and enable us to continue to provide a range of services for issues including Long Covid, grief and bereavement, and trauma. These include expert courses, professional counselling, live Q&A webinars, resource packs, and our free Support Community which offers a safe space for anyone affected to chat to others and receive 1-to-1 listening support.

Volunteer
If you have a great skills set and are looking to build on your portfolio of work, or even just an interest in getting involved in some way and helping, please contact us.
We have a small group of volunteers, with a range of skills who bring so much to our charity and we are very grateful for their contribution. One of our content writing volunteers recently said “Being able to write about my experiences for Covid Aid is therapeutic and being part of their community has made me feel more positive and supported.”
In Memory Of
Christmas can be a difficult time of year where we remember those we loved and lost. We have partnered with MuchLoved to bring you these special tribute pages which can be set up in moments.
You can add pictures, music and video to these pages, as well as light virtual candles to help you create a truly special and unique tribute site for your loved one. Visit https://www.muchloved.com/CreateMemorial to create your tribute.
Fundraise
Set yourself a target for 2023 and take part in a fundraiser on behalf of Covid Aid.
Throughout this year, we highlighted a range of heroes who took the plunge and raised a fantastic amount of money for our charity, including Bhim who ran the Bath Half Marathon for Covid Aid in memory of his Dad who sadly passed away in April 2020 due to Covid-19, without being able to see any of his family members. You can get more inspiration and find out more about our amazing fundraisers so far over on our JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/covid-aid – where you can also create your own fundraiser.
Whether you are interested in running a marathon, or doing a mindfulness or yoga fundraiser, a member of our team will support you on your event journey with regular phone calls and emails as well as training and fundraising advice. Visit our website for more information or contact us.
Thank You
Finally, a big thank you to everybody who has supported us in 2022. We rely on donations and your invaluable support keeps our charity providing much needed support in the UK.
Thanks again to Vicky Hughes for the amazing illustrations of Fred the reindeer! Vicky volunteers her time for Covid Aid and we are extremely grateful for her contribution to the charity.
If you choose to donate or support us in any way this Christmas, please get involved however you can and remember to spread the word! #LongCovidChristmas
