In line with our values as an open, collaborative charity, we share our monthly reviews and quarterly reports with trustees, volunteers and the public. This means we can show our progress and hear your feedback on how to better support those affected by Covid-19 across the UK.

Our plans for December shifted beyond all recognition with the introduction of the Omicron variant. Despite the challenging circumstances, our amazing team and volunteers were able to provide the vital information and support required for our community over the festive period.

This month, alongside our regular updates, we took the opportunity to reflect on the growth experienced as a charity since our launch in May. Highlights include:

  • launching the first free Courses on our Covid-19 Support Community, providing educational resources on subjects such as fatigue and smell disorders.

  • hitting a huge milestone in the amount of Advice and Information articles (over 100!) provided on our website which cover a wide range of topics.

  • joining the Working Group for the My Long COVID Needs Long Covid assessment tool being led by the British Lung Foundation and funded through the NHS.

  • providing online Grief and Bereavement counselling via GriefChat and becoming a partner for National Grief Awareness Week 2021, organised by the Good Grief Trust.

Thanks to all who helped covid:aid make a crucial difference in 2021. Your support allows us to continue doing more for people across the UK who have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
