Covid Aid launches new online courses 'Claiming PIP for Long Covid' and 'How to Manage Stress and Anxiety'

Covid Aid has this month launched two free new interactive courses, 'Claiming PIP for Long Covid' and 'How to Manage Stress and Anxiety', on our awards-nominated Covid Aid Support Community platform.

The free courses, which are available on the covid:aid Covid Aid Support Community, can be taken at peoples' own time and sensitively address important issues affecting those with Long Covid and experiencing Covid-related issues.

The two new Courses are:

Claiming PIP for Long Covid

This course offers practical guidance with PIP, dealing with DWP Assessments and managing anxiety.

Sections include:

  • Completing Your PIP Form

  • What to Expect at Your PIP Assessment

  • Coping with Anxiety Whilst Awaiting Outcomes

Expert and professional content has been provided by Elle De Sousa, Director at counselling service Positive Life Approaches. She is an active advocate for self-management and has worked in support of people claiming PIP for long term conditions.

How to Manage Stress and Anxiety

Learn the tools and techniques needed to reduce your stress and anxiety during uncertain times.

Sections include:

  • Navigating Challenging Times

  • The Reality of Wellbeing

  • Befriending Emotions

  • Goal Setting for Wellbeing

This micro-course has been designed by a team of licensed therapists at House of Self as a result of evidence-based practices that are proven to be effective in the treatment of stress, anxiety, excessive worry and low mood.

The Covid Aid Support Community provides a safe space for members to engage with others and share their experiences of Long Covid, Grief and Bereavement and more. In addition to the online courses available on the platform, users while have access to advice and information shared by Covid Aid, as well as live Q&A events and weekly catch-ups
